About Anderson Park
Anderson Park is a 28-acre community park with regional draw located in the heart of Wheat Ridge and situated along the Greenbelt & Clear Creek Trail. It is home to the Anderson Building & Pool, the Parks, Forestry & Open Space Office, the annual Carnation Festival, Performances in the Park summer concert series and many other programs and events throughout the year.
Sweet Grass Dance
The park also features a public art display entitled "Sweet Grass Dance" by Nancy Lovendahl. The art display is made of natural limestone and is hand cut and finished to look like oversized "sweet grass" growing wild along Clear Creek, blowing in the breeze.
