Applications for the 2023 Hazardous Tree Grant Program are open NOW!

The City of Wheat Ridge Hazardous Tree Services Grant Program provides aid to Wheat Ridge residents for assessment, removal, pruning, or treatment of hazard trees, which qualify by posing significant risk.

A reimbursement of 50% up to $1,500 for removal, 50% up to $1,000 for pruning (for hazard or health), OR 50% up to $500 for treatment (for hazard or health) may be awarded.

Trees interfering with utilities such as power lines will not be considered, you will need to contact he utility companies for assistant with those trees. Trees and limbs recently damaged by a weather event (storm damage) will not be considered. Stump removal is not included in the grant program and is a separate cost incurred by the property owner. 

Applications will be accepted till all funds have been awarded or till Monday, September 4th, whichever occurs first. This Hazardous Tree Grant is only available to City of Wheat Ridge residential and commercial property owners, one tree per property with the exception of tree treatments.
