[ARCHIVED] Applications for Hazardous Tree Services Grant Program go live on Monday, 4/4/22.

Tree getting cut down

Applications for the 2022 Hazardous Tree Services Grant Program open on Monday, April 4th.

The City of Wheat Ridge will be providing aid to qualifying residents for not only hazardous tree removal, but also pruning or treatment services. The Hazardous Tree Services Grant Program is a matching grant providing 50% up to $1,500 for removal, 50% up to $1,000 for pruning on unhealthy or hazardous trees, OR 50% up to $250 for treatment of unhealthy or hazardous trees.

Candidacy of trees for the program is to be determined by, and at the full discretion of the City Forester, based on a free assessment and list of qualifying factors. Following the City Forester’s assessment, qualifying applicants must seek immediate tree services from an approved list of contractors. Property owners will be required to pay for the tree work and will be reimbursed by the City through grant funds after the tree work is completed.
