Now Hiring For Seasonal Positions Collage With Hiring Perks

Join us for a summer of fun in the sun! 

Lifeguards, Sun Camp staff, parks maintenance/horticulture seasonal staff & CARA track coaches hired on this summer season are eligible for the following perks: 

Sign on Bonus:

New variable team members that are hired for a summer seasonal position listed above by July 1, will receive a Sign on Bonus of $50.

  • Sign on Bonuses to be paid on a payroll in July.
  • Team member must be actively working in the position in order to receive the incentive.   If a team member terminates employment before receiving the incentive, they forfeit the incentive.

Go the Distance Perk:

New variable team members that hit the average amount of hours per week (specified below) for position will receive a Go the Distance Incentive of $100 at the end of the season!  Season start dates and end dates vary depending on the program length.

              Lifeguard: Memorial Day-Labor Day, 14 weeks x average of 25 hours/week

              Sun Camp: June 6th-August 12th, 10 weeks x average of 25/hours/week

              Parks: Memorial Day-Labor Day, 14 weeks x average of 25 hours/week) 

              CARA Track Coaches: June 7th - July 30th, 8 weeks x average of 12.5 hours/week)

  • Team member must be actively working in the position in order to receive the incentive. If a team member terminates employment before receiving the incentive, they forfeit the incentive. 

Supervisors will run a TCP report and submit reports at the end of the season with names and hours of currently employed Team Members that qualify for the Go the Distance Incentive. At the end of the season, Division Managers will provide a signed spreadsheet by the Director of Parks and Recreation to the HR Partner to be submitted to payroll. 

Scholarship Opportunity

All variable employees who work and average of 30 hours per week during the season will have the opportunity to apply for a $500 scholarship to be applied toward career development (e.g., college, trade school, conference, training, etc.).  Invoice will be required to reimburse Team Member.  Only one $500 scholarship will be awarded. A review committee will be formed to determine the winner of the $500 scholarship.
