As the spread of COVID-19 continues to gain momentum, federal, state and local agencies across the country are taking measures to minimize gatherings and help employees and the public distance themselves from each other.
In an effort to support social distancing and slow the spread of COVID-19, all Wheat Ridge Parks & Recreation facilities will be CLOSED Sunday, March 15, 2020 through Sunday, March 29. This includes the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, Active Adult Center, Anderson Building and Historical Park buildings. Additionally, all recreation classes, programs and events scheduled to occur during this time have been CANCELLED. Swim lesson are cancelled beginning Saturday, March 14, 2020.
Staff will be cleaning and disinfecting all facilities while we are closed to the public.
During this time, we will be constantly monitoring the situation and will reevaluate the need for further closures as this two-week window closes.
