A Nature Play Area was added to Anderson Park through a partnership with Wilmore-Davis Elementary School and with support from the National Wildlife Federation’s Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO) program along with an Eagle Scout project.
So far, the play area includes a pollinator garden, log features, pathways, and a meadow. Phase II of the project, with additional support from the ECHO program and the Colorado Health Foundation, will add additional amenities to the play area including an outdoor classroom deck, labyrinth, historical area, bird habitat, and more.
