  1. Anderson Park Grand Reopening

    June 22, 2019, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Anderson Park

    Come help us celebrate and check out the (nearly) completed Anderson Park improvements! Mayor Starker, City Manager, Patrick Goff, Parks and Recreation Director, Joyce Manwaring, and construction company, GH Phipps will all be there to say a few words. Tours of the park and the Anderson Building will follow. Refreshments served. The 2E ballot initiative passed by voters in 2016, approved a 1/2 cent temporary sales tax increase to fund four projects. Anderson Park is the first 2E project to be completed. The project included the renovation of the Anderson Building featuring a new classroom, updated gym, fitness room, and lobby, new lockers rooms, lifeguard office, roof, siding, sidewalks, entryway, parking lot and improved vehicular circulation; plus park improvements including infrastructure, new sidewalks, baseball field lights, playground, pavilion/performance stage, and a Clear Creek access feature.

Doctor Noize — a singer and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for interactive pop/rock and a degree in classical music from Stanford — dazzles and inspires audiences to be musicians and creators themselves. With his one-man band of instruments and deep expertise in electronic music looping technology, the Doc arranges and records music live and lets every kid know "you can be a big star, you can have your own act".

    The Blu Rose Dance Band kicks off the 2019 Performances in the Park series. The band's sound is based in the 70s, 80s, and 90s with a blend of acoustic and electric guitars and tight vocal harmonies. With 5 singers, they draw from Classic Rock, Pop, Motown, Acoustic Rock, Country and Blues. Add a sprinkle of today's hits and we have a party!
